As part of MakerFest, we’re bringing together makers, engineers, designers, innovators, students and tinkerers to collaborate, prototype and compete for some incredible prizes.

A panel of industry experts and leaders will judge each solution, while festival visitors will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourites.
The final will be held at the main Festival weekend on the 12 and 13 September 2026.
The challenge will focus on sustainability, with a real-world problem that may involve electrification.
You’ll need creativity, teamwork, practical skills and innovative thinking to develop a solution that could make a genuine impact.
